Who needs it
Philippine passport holders need a visa for Australia in all cases — there is no visa-on-arrival and the ETA/eVisitor channels cover other nationalities. Every traveller, including infants, needs their own application.

Receive the grant notice
The grant letter arrives by email with your visa conditions, validity and stay periods. No sticker is issued — keep the letter with your travel documents and check the passport number on it is exactly right.
Common questions
- There's no visa in my passport — how do I board?
- Australia's visas are electronic. Airlines check your passport against the immigration database at check-in, and the grant letter is your human-readable proof. It's normal for the passport to show nothing at all.
- How long can I stay?
- Most tourist grants allow stays of 3 months per entry on a 12-month multiple-entry visa. The grant letter states your exact conditions — including whether further stay applications are allowed.
- Can my whole family apply together?
- Each person lodges their own application (children included), but the files can be prepared and submitted as a set with shared evidence — which is also how we present a family's finances most convincingly.
- What trips up Filipino applications most often?
- Thin or disorganised financial evidence, and leave letters that don't match the travel dates. Australia refuses incomplete applications rather than asking for more — with the charge lost — so the file must be right at lodgement.
