Who needs it
Philippine passport holders need a visa for any US visit — the Visa Waiver Program does not include the Philippines. Guam and the CNMI have a separate waiver for some nationalities, but not for PH passports; Hawaii, Alaska and the mainland always require the B1/B2.

How to apply
Complete the DS-160
A detailed online form covering work history, travel history and your trip. Every answer is on record at the window, so it must be accurate — a rushed DS-160 is the most common self-inflicted wound in US applications.
Pay the MRV fee and book the interview
Pay the US$185 fee, then book through the official appointment system. Manila wait times swing widely through the year — we watch for released slots and pull appointments earlier when they open.
Attend the interview at the embassy
Bring the printed confirmations and your documents. Officers ask about the trip's purpose, your work, and your ties home. Answer directly and briefly; documents are checked only if the officer asks.
Passport return
Approved passports come back by courier, normally within about a week. Check the visa's annotation, validity and entries when it arrives.
Common questions
- What are my chances of approval?
- No agency can promise a US visa — the decision belongs to the consular officer alone, and anyone guaranteeing approval should worry you. What we can do is make sure the application tells your true story clearly: stable work, real itinerary, strong reasons to come home.
- Can I renew without another interview?
- Sometimes. The interview-waiver (drop box) facility covers certain renewals of the same visa class within a set window of expiry — the rules have tightened recently and eligibility shifts, so we check your dates against the current policy before filing.
- My US visa was denied before. Should I reapply?
- Only when something material has changed — new employment, new travel history, a different purpose. Reapplying with the same facts usually meets the same result and another US$185 fee. We'll tell you honestly which side of that line you're on.
- Does a US visa help my other applications?
- Yes, meaningfully. A used, valid US visa signals vetted travel history — Schengen, UK, Japan, Korea and Canada applications all read it favourably, and Korea even waives visas for some travellers arriving via qualifying routings with valid US visas.
